COMPASS Placement Test for Mathematics and Statistics Courses

Students who are not going to enroll in the majors or programs below, may take

Math 100 with no further placement exams.

(MATH 100 IS NOT A PREREQUISITE FOR ANY OTHER MATH COURSE)

   
Students who wish to major in Accounting, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Economics, Education, Health Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, Psychology or enroll in science courses for pre-medical, dental, pharmacology or veterinary requirements, must take

 

Parts 2, 3, 5 of the CUNY Compass Math Test
(except for transfer students who have taken the required math at their prior college, and the course appears as the Hunter required course on their Hunter transcript)

   
If your score on COMPASS is You should take
27-45 on part 2 (Algebra) Pre-Math 101 Workshop
    

46-65 on part 2 (Algebra) and
0-45 on Part 3 (College Algebra)

Math 101
   

66-100 on part 2 (Algebra) and
0-45 on Part 3 (College Algebra)

        OR

0-65 on part 2 (Algebra)and
46-100 on Part 3 (College Algebra) and
0-45 on Part 5 (Trigonometry)
