ACADEMC eADVISING
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________
The Academic eAdvising site is not a replacement for meeting with an Advisor in the Office of Student Services or in your major department.
However, using this Academic eAdvising web site to learn more about general academic requirements, discover campus resources, review policy basics, and find answers to frequently asked questions will better prepare you for the "real time" advisement sessions with your academic advisors in the Office of Student Services and in your major department.
Things to Do
- Examine the Hunter College Undergraduate Catalog.
- Read carefully the Catalog sections about academic programs and policies; administrative services; tuition, fees, and financial aid; student life, services, and support resources; and your intended major.
- Explore the Advising and Counseling website. Pay particular attention to the Advising Essentials and FAQs.
- Make an appointment to meet with your advisor prior to registering for the next semester. Don't wait until peak times. Schedule appointments during the "slow" periods: mid-February to early April, late June to mid-July, and late September to early November.
- Check out the interactive GER Checklist, and print your results. Bring it to your next advisement meeting.
- Contact a member of the Advising Staff if you experience academic or personal difficulties.
- Ask questions.
- Enjoy your Hunter experience!
