GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS: GER Checklist
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The on-line GER Checklist is designed for students who matriculated at Hunter College in Fall 2001 or thereafter.

Use the interactive GER Checklist to track your academic progress. You can print a copy of the completed checklist, or you can download a copy of the GER Worksheet (PDF) to perform the check manually. Bring your completed copy to your next meeting with an Advisor in the Office of Student Services, 1119 East Building.

  • If you earned an AA or AS degree from a college within The City University of New York (CUNY) system, you are exempt from the GER Core Requirement, but you must fulfill the three Graduation Requirements (Foreign Language, Writing, and Pluralism and Diversity).

  • If you transferred from a CUNY college with an AAS degree or some CUNY credits, you may be able to use your accepted courses to satisfy some of the GER.

  • If you transferred from a non-CUNY college, you may be able to use your accepted courses to satisfy some of the GER.

  • If you are pursuing a major leading to the Bachelor of Science degree, you should consult an Advisor in the Office of Student Services, 1119 East Building.

See the General Education Requirement (PDF) for details, and the FAQs (frequently asked questions) for answers to general questions.

If you matriculated between Fall 1986 and Spring 2001, you are responsible for the Distribution Requirement. If you matriculated prior to Fall 1986, you should meet with an Advisor in the Office of Student Services, 1119 East Building.
