The Office of Student Services is here to help you succeed and make the most of your Hunter experience. We offer a full range of services and resources to support you from your first semester through graduation. Our offices and centers provide everything from advising to counseling to career development to programs for enrichment and even relaxation in the new Sylvia E. Fishman Student Center.

Guidance with information and advisement related to course and program requirements, curricular offerings, college procedures, regulations and policies. Facilitating connections with college-wide and external opportunities. Help with making the transition from pre-major status.

Admissions

217 North Building (OASIS)
Review and process student admissions applications to help create a diverse and accomplished student body at Hunter College. The Admissions Office also provides assistance during this process to all applicants.

Athletics

317B West Building
Provides students with a full-range of athletic participation. Students are encouraged to join one of Hunter’s 20 teams which compete in the CUNY Athletic Conference, a member of the NCAA. Hunter College also offers a competitive and exciting Recreation and Intramural program.

Career Development Services

Career counseling services for students and alumni, in all aspects related to attaining optimum satisfaction in a career choice.

Workshops and individual assistance on study skills and related topics. Support services for students experiencing academic difficulties.

Children’s Learning Center

Care and education program for children of Hunter College students.

Financial Aid

Provide financial assistance and counseling that is comprehensive for our students and their families in order to provide our students with the tools necessary to manage their own funds and make sound financial decisions.

Health Services / Wellness Education

Walk-in services for health concerns, vaccinations, affordable follow-up care with EMTs and emergency health care. Health Education resources and programs are also available.

International Student Advisors

Guidance on academic issues and progress towards degree completion. Help with immigration concerns, residency status and naturalization.

Internships

Counseling and coordination of internships for students in corporations, government agencies, media networks, arts institutions and non-profit organizations to gain pre-professional experience in a setting related to a student’s academic concentration and career goals.

Personal Counseling Services

1123 East Building
Individual/group support for students experiencing difficulties associated with personal and family issues. On-site counseling/referrals to external support services.

Registrar

Provide assistance with course registration, add/drop classes, graduation status verification and student transcripts.

Residence Hall

Brookdale, 1st Avenue & East 25th Street
A "living-learning" community where residents get involved in social, educational, and cultural programs designed to enhance their learning and to promote positive relationships within the Residence Hall and the community.

Student Activities
