Summer internships are being offered in legislative affairs in the New York City District Office of Assembly Member Bing. Interns will have the opportunity to become involved in all aspects of legislative office operations including research, constituent services, writing press releases, newsletters and opinion editorials as well as event planning. Internship Opportunity: New York City Council Member – Brooklyn District
New York City Council Member seeks highly motivated interns who will play a critical role in the daily operation of his District and Legislative Offices. A New York City Council internship provides great governmental experience to current college students, providing valuable hands-on experience by working closely with staff in a wide-range of areas including press, correspondence and legislative policy. We are seeking motivated, organized, and reliable individuals to assist the legislative and administrative staff with day-to-day duties. Such duties include attending briefings, answering phones, drafting constituent correspondence letters and doing legislative research.
The position requires a working knowledge of Excel, Access, and comfortable doing computer research. Strong verbal and written communications skills are necessary. It is a great opportunity for sophomores, juniors, and seniors with an interest in politics and a desire to help perform legislative works.

Summer Internship: B’nai B’rith International – Project in UN Affairs
A summer internship in human rights and non-governmental organization operations is being made available with the New York Office of B’nai B’rith. Responsibilities include managing databases, compiling research for articles, attending and reporting on UN meetings, scheduling meetings with local UN missions and related projects. CUNY/Washington Center Fall 2008 Semester Internship in Washington, D.C.
An exceptional opportunity is being offered to Hunter College students who have an interest in interning in Washington D.C. Applicants must be at least upper sophomores by the fall 2008 semester. Participating students will receive academic guidance while performing internships in a variety of organizations in and outside of government. They will be eligible to earn 12-15 credits for their participation as well as receive invaluable experience and preparation for careers in the public and private sector. CUNY will defray all costs.
