FREE Mammograms @Hunter College! – May 8, 2008: A Great Mother’s Day Gift!!!
Looking for a Mother’s Day gift? Instead of spending money on flowers, cards and sweets, why not give mom the gift of health? A FREE Mammogram!
Free mammograms to screen for breast cancer will be offered to Hunter students, faculty, staff and members of the community on Thursday, May 8, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Any woman over the age of 40 (the recommended mammogram screening age) is welcome to participate. Simply call 1-800-564-6868. Women are encouraged to schedule appointments in advance, as walk-up appointments are limited and not guaranteed.
The mammograms will be performed in a mobile mammography unit operated by the American-Italian Cancer Foundation (AICF), parked on campus at the corner of 68th Street and Lexington Avenue on the Hunter College Campus.
If you know any women in your family – especially those without insurance or the means to pay for the diagnostic procedure – please let them know about this vital initiative as this is a special event for Hunter students, staff and their family and friends.

The Nurse Practitioner will be available Monday and Tuesday 10:30-5:30pm, Friday 10:00am-3:30pm and a Nurse will be available Wednesday and Thursday in the Office of Health Services, 307 North
Students can make an appointment by calling 772-4800 or stopping by the office. Students will only be seen on a walk-in basis on Wednesday and Thursday. This service is open to current Hunter students only. Services will include but not be limited to student physicals to obtain a Physical Activity Card (NP Only), urgent health care concerns, and some limited rapid tests such as strep and urinalysis.
