The first step is to get accepted to Hunter College. Start by getting an application package on line at http://portal.cuny.edu/cms/id/cuny/documents/informationpage/002857.htm; Freshman applications are available online at: https://portal.cuny.edu/cms/id/cuny/documents/informationpage/006373.htm. and http://admissions.hunter.cuny.edu/freshman_applicants.htm. Transfer undergraduate student applications are available online at: http://admissions.hunter.cuny.edu/transfer_applicants.htm. You can also request an application by calling City University (CUNY's) automated hotline, (212) 997-2869.

With your application, you'll need to submit an application fee of $65.00 U.S. for Freshmen Applications and $70.00 U.S. for Transfer Applications, as well as photocopies of your educational credentials. You should immediately request that your secondary school (and any colleges or universities you may have attended) send CUNY an official transcript.

For undergraduate students, the transcripts need to be sent directly to the University Application Processing Center (UAPC) to the following address:

UAPC will evaluate your credentials to determine your admission eligibility. On the CUNY application for undergraduate admissions, you must indicate your school of first choice. You will be admitted to the first school on your list for which you meet the admissions requirement. Once you have applied and would like to check on the status of your application, call (212) 997-2869, email the University Admissions office at aonline@mail.cuny.edu, or visit them at CUNY Admissions Office located at 1114 6th Avenue (at 42nd Street), New York, New York 10038.
