We offer the following free and confidential personal counseling services to Hunter College students:

  • Individual Counseling
  • Group Counseling
  • Personal Crisis
  • Personal Consultation
  • Theme-Centered Workshops
  • Mental Health Screening
  • Referral to Other Services

Personal Counseling Services can help students with:

  • adjustment to college
  • adjustment to a new place/culture/lifestyle
  • homesickness
  • difficulties with academic achievement
  • conflict with parents/intimate others
  • grief of a beloved one
  • difficulties in making and keeping friends
  • personal and/or family crisis
  • emotional distress
  • feelings of inadequacy/loneliness
  • feeling depressed or anxious
  • sexual identity/orientation
  • sexual harassment/assault
  • traumatic experiences
