The Prehealth Professions Office at Hunter College (E812), advises, counsels and provides resources for students about academic requirements and other credentials necessary for application to medical and other health-related professional schools (dental, optometry, podiatry, pharmacy, physician assistant, physical therapy and veterinary). Students interested in Nursing, Public Health or Nutrition should contact our advisors at the Brookdale campus on E. 25th Street:  http://www.hunter.cuny.edu/schoolhp/

The servicesthePrehealth Professions Office offers includes workshops about related topics (interviewing techniques, writing the personal statement, etc.), help with applications, a credentials service for housing your evaluations and letters of recommendation and Premed Committee interviews.

The Prehealth Program is NOT a major. Students may select any major they desire but must complete their prerequisite courses for the health professions school/s they wish to attend.  Please note that although we provide a general outline of the courses that all health professions schools require, there are a myriad of additional requirements that you may need.  Check with the advisor and look at websites for more information.
