Students interested in attending any health professions school should be well-read. This means not only reading textbooks and other classroom materials but finding books and articles that reflect an interest in learning about the world and how we function within it. The ability to converse with others is dependent on our knowledge about a myriad of topics and this skill will also be needed for your professional exams.

Courses in:

Logic
Community Health
Urban Studies
Cultural Diversity
Political Science

will provide you with a wealth of information and training in critical reading and writing. Many of these courses can fulfill GER requirements but they can also be general electives that you find pertinent and interesting. You need 120 credits to graduate and have space to take general electives not related to your major or your GERs. Explore!
