New Applicant Application Fall 2008 Application Deadline: May 2, 2008 at midnight. Carefully read the instructions below and then click the Apply Online button.
This application is for individuals not currently residing in the Residence Hall. Your online application and your college transcript (if applicable) must be submitted by May 2nd, 2008. Mailed transcripts must be postmarked no later than May 2nd. If you submit an online application, or your transcripts are postmarked after this date, your application will still be accepted, however it will be deemed LATE and only processed after all On-Time applications.
Please enter ALL the information on the Online Application Form. After entering your information click the SUBMIT button. Please type carefully and confirm that all your information is correct before hitting SUBMIT. You will receive an email notification stating that your online application has been submitted successfully. You will be notified in a letter via EMAIL as to the status of your application in early to mid-June. We will be unable to provide you with acceptance information prior to that time.
Attention Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors:
In addition to submitting your completed application online, you also need to mail an unofficial college transcript of any previous college experience to the Office of Residence Life. If you are an entering freshman or graduate student, you DO NOT need to mail a transcript, just make sure that you indicate that when filling out your class status on the application.
Your Transcript Mailing Slip and your unofficial copy of your college transcript(s) should be mailed to the Office of Residence Life at the address given after you submit your application. Your Transcript Mailing Slip will be displayed after filling out the application and hitting SUBMIT. A copy of your Transcript Mailing Slip will also be emailed to you at the address you provided. In order for your application to be accepted as On-Time, your transcripts must be postmarked no later thanMay 2nd, 2008. You must include the Transcript Mailing Slip that is displayed after you click SUBMIT. This will allow us to match your online application with your transcripts. If you either file an online application after midnight on May 2nd, 2008 or your transcripts are postmarked after that date, your application will still be accepted, however it will be deemed LATE and only processed after all other on time applications. Even if you submit your online application on time, if your transcripts are not postmarked before the deadline, your application will be LATE.
Housing Fees: DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY AT THIS TIME.
Residence Hall fees are subject to change. When the costs are established, they will be sent in acceptance letters and posted on our website.
Returning Resident Application
This application is for individuals who currently live in the Residence Hall and are submitting an application for continued residence. If you are a New Applicant, meaning that you do not currently live in the residence hall, and you fill out this application it will NOT be accepted. You must fill out a New Applicant application form during the application period specified above.
Returning Resident Deadline:March 19th at midnight. Read the instructions below and then click on the “Returning Resident Application” button to fill out a Fall 2008 application.

Summer 2008 Temporary Rental Information If you are registered for a college course or are involved in an internship sponsored by an academic institution, you can apply to live in the residence hall between June 12th and August 8th. You course or internship does not have to be through Hunter College, but you will be required to submit proof of enrollment in the form of a transcript. Internships must be sponsored by an academic institution in order to be eligible for housing. The cost of housing is $315/week for Hunter College students and $350/week for non-Hunter College Students.
Residing in the residence hall for a temporary summer rental does NOT entitle you to continued residence for the following fall term. If you wish to be considered for Fall 2008 housing you must submit a late Fall 2008 New Resident Application, as the deadline has already passed. If you are accepted for the Fall 2008 term and are residing in a summer rental, you will have to vacate your temporary summer rental on August 8th and then return on the Fall 2008 check date.
