ORIENTATION, ADVISING & REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Once you have been accepted to Hunter College, and have indicated you are planning to attend, the transfer credit evaluation will be initiated by the Transfer Credit Evaluation Unit in the Admissions office. When the evaluation is finished, you can view your transferred credits on the e-SIMS web site.

Orientation, Advising, and Registration Information Sessions
You are required to attend a New Transfer Student Orientation. Orientation sessions will take place beginning in late May and run through August 2008.  At this orientation session, we will provide you with basic information about Hunter College, as well as specific information regarding your intended major and your credit evaluation. 

The orientation session will provide you with all the information needed to register for Fall 2008 courses. 

IF YOU HAVE RECEIVED A TRANSFER CREDIT EVALUATION (available in your ESIMS account) from the Hunter College Office of Admissions, you are eligible to register for the following scheduled dates and times for New Transfer Orientation Sessions:

*You MUST RSVP for one of the dates listed above since space is limited. To RSVP for a New Transfer Student Orientation, Advising and Registration Information Session, please send an email to: transfer@hunter.cuny.edu

The following information MUST be included in your RSVP email:

• Your full name as shown: Last name, First name
• Your date of birth (MM/DD/YYYY)
• 1st choice of session date and time (from list above)
• 2nd choice of session date and time (from list above)
• Daytime phone number
• Preferred email address (for session reminder email)
• Intended field of study or major at Hunter College
• Name of any CUNY schools you attended, if applicable

You will receive a confirmation email within 72 hours (excluding weekends and holidays) that will include the date, time and location of your scheduled session.

PLEASE ARRIVE NO LATER THAN 10:15 AM FOR MORNING SESSIONS AND NO LATER THAN 5:15PM FOR EVENING SESSIONS

What to bring to your Orientation, Advising and Registration Information Session:

• A printed copy of the Transfer Credit Evaluation you received from the Hunter Admissions Office in ESIMS
• Pen and paper to take notes for important academic information
• Immunization and Health records, if still needed to turn in to the Health Services Office
